Vintage Modified series offers models with a cunning blend of vintage looks and modern tone. It is primarily made for players who like vintage guitars, but still want something with contemporary tone. For the summer of 2012 Fender releases through Squier an update of affordable Vintage Modified electric guitars. Five models are being unveiled and one of them is Vintage Modified Jaguar. This model comes with a regular Jaguar shaped body with solid construction and bolted neck. This 24" scaled guitar features no bindings or top woods. Body is made of basswood and is available in four different color options: 3-Color Sunburst, Surf Green, Candy Apple Red and Olympic White. All of them feature polyurethane gloss finish. Bridge section on this model features adjust-o-matic bridge in combination with vintage-styled floating tremolo. Bridge is plated in chrome, as is the rest of the hardware. Pickups installed on this Jaguar are Duncan Designed, and laid out in S/S pattern. Controls include volume knob, tone knob and separate lead and rhythm control circuits. Neck is made of maple and it sports the C contour. It is bolted to the body and it`s topped with a rosewood fingerboard with 22 frets. Dot position inlays, 9.50" radius and 1.65" wide synthetic bone nut complete the fingerboard.
