Vintage Modified is the series made for all the players who have a taste for vintage-styled Fender`s classics, but also want a modern tone. This series is made by Squier and it covers the budget-friendly segment of the market. One of five updates for summer 2012 is Vintage Modified Jazzmaster. This modified classic comes available in four colors: 3-Color Sunburst, Sonic Blue, Olympic White and Candy Apple Red. Also, it features full-sized 25-1/2" scale and chrome plated hardware. Body on this Jazzmaster has a traditional shape, it`s solid and made of basswood. There are no bindings or top woods installed. Classic plastic pickguard serves a double purpose as it protects the body from pick scratches and shields the electronics. Bridge section is the same as on the Jaguar model, it features adjust-o-matic bridge with vintage styled vibrato in the back. Duncan Designed fat single coil pickups are installed in both the bridge and neck positions. volume and tone knobs are accompanied by a three-way switch. Also, there are special controls for both the "rhythm" and "lead" circuits. Neck is made of maple and it sports a C contour in the back. It`s bolted and topped with a rosewood-made fingerboard. 21 frets, white dot markers and 1.65" wide synthetic bone nut complete the fingerboard.
