Fender Select Carved Maple Top Telecaster is a part of the Select series and it`s a new model for 2012. Select Series is produced under the words "Select instruments for select individuals". Select Carved Maple Top Telecaster is a solid single cutaway model with a body made of empress wood with flamed maple top. This model is available in amber color with gloss lacquer finish. This carved top model features no binding around the body top. The bridge is American Tele with new American Standard bent steel saddles and stamped brass plate. The pickup combo has standard Tele configuration of slanted single coil bridge pickup and standard single coil neck pickup. Both pickups are Fender Select pickups. They are controlled through master volume, master tone and a three-position pickup switch. The neck is made of flamed maple with a modern C contour and bolt-on joint. Back of the neck is finished in satin lacquer. The fingerboard is made of maple and is equipped with 22 medium jumbo frets, black dot inlays, compound 9.50-14" radius and 1.685" synthetic bone nut. Other features include chrome/nickel hardware finish, Fender tuning machines and four bolt neck plate with micro tilt. The MSRP for Select Carved Maple Top Telecaster is set at $3,499.99.
