VG Stratocaster is an experimental model developed by Fender and Roland together. Advanced electronics are the most prominent feature of this model. Besides the regular three single coil pickups featured in front of the bridge, Fender installs master volume, master tone, two additional knobs and a five-position blade switch in the controls department. Behind the slanted bridge pickup, a thin pickup with numerous modeling abilities is featured. Body of this model is a regular Strat body made of alder. Binding and carved top wood cover are scratched from the specs list. Bridge is a synchronized tremolo with chrome plating and six adjustable saddles. Neck is made of maple and it sports a regular C contour. On it`s top Fender installs a 21-fret fingerboard with dot inlays. Both rosewood and maple fingerboard are available.
