Monterey is a line of single-cut guitars with Les Paul-like bodies and six-string construction.Top model of the line is the Monterey Elite, an upscale guitar with set in neck, 24-3/4" scale, carved top, gold-plated hardware and 22-fret fingerboard. Mahogany is Fernandes standard tonewood, along with alder in some series. For Monterey series, mahogany is used as the standard and primary tonewood. On it`s top, there`s a quilted maple cap with several layers of binding around the edges. On top of the body, Fernandes installs the standard two-piece bridge combo. In the pickups department, Sustainer in the neck position is paired with Seymour Duncan SH-4 JB humbucker in the bridge position. Mahogany neck is set in and topped with a 22-fret ebony fingerboard.
