Stevie Salas is one of the most respected and most sought after studio musicians in the USA and is a new member of the Framus signature family. His signature model is based on the Idolmaker series, which is also being introduced at the 2014 NAMM show. It comes with a solid and double-cut body made of mahogany back and two-piece quilted maple top. Contours of this model remind of the classic Gibson Firebird design, though enriched with genuine Framus styling and hardware options. French Violet is the main color variant for this model and it can sport various finishes, such as satin, gloss, gloss top/satin back and sides and more. On the top, Framus and Mr Salas have opted for the classic Tonepros tune-o-matic bridge with stoptail bar behind it. Bridge section, as well as the rest of the hardware, is plated in gold. Seymour Duncan`s `78 humbucker is in the bridge, while the Phatcat is in the neck position. Master volume, master tone, five-position blade switch and the two-position kill switch comprise the controls. Maple neck is set in and is topped with a 24-fret tigerstripe ebony fingerboard. 24 jumbo frets, black TUSQ nut and 12" radius are featured on this fingerboard.
