This beauty is dedicated to one of the earliest Les Paul models, the iconic 1955 Les Paul Goldtop. Back in the day before Seth Lover made humbuckers, LPs came with the strongest and biggest single-coil pickups Gibson could offer, legendary P-90s. They are also installed on this model, in both the bridge and neck positions. Les paul`s classic controls unit is featured on this Goldtop, as well. Body is made with period-correct measures and features, mahogany is in the back and carved maple cap on the top. Tune-o-matic w/stoptail bridge combo is plated in chrome. In the 1950s Les Paul models had a bit chunkier neck contour than '60s slim taper. Necks were set in and topped with 22-fret rosewood fingerboards. Same set of neck specs is featured on this model, as well.
