Gibson Custom 1960 Les Paul Special Double Cutaway
Les Paul Electric Guitars by Gibson Custom
Les Paul Electric Guitars by Gibson Custom
Back in 1960s Gibson started a model line named Les Paul Special, it represented the low end Gibsons intended for the beginners and those who can not afford a Standard or Custom. Little did they know that the Specials will be so successful, that even half a century later they will be so much desired and played guitars. This is a tribute to the 1960 double cut Special, it comes with a solid, flat body made of mahogany. There is no top wood cover, no binding, only a plastic pickguard. Bridge section is comprised of only a stoptail bar and it is plated in chrome. Pickups are active P-90s in both the bridge and neck positions. Mahogany neck is set and equipped with a regular '60s contour. It`s topped with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard.
