This model is a tribute to the Les Paul Special model produced in the early 1960s. Special in Gibson`s catalog stands for the affordable variant. and this one came with flat top, single coil pickups and other budget-friendly appointments. 1960 Les paul Special Single Cutaway is a solid-bodied single cut guitar with a body made of mahogany. There is no top wood, binding is also left out and the body is finished in gloss. On top, Gibson Custom installs the stoptail bar without the tune-o-matic bridge in the front. Pickups on this one are P-90 single coils in both the bridge and neck positions. Single-piece mahogany neck is equipped with set-in joint and '60s contour in the back. It`s topped with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard.
