1968 Les Paul Custom 5A Quilt Top is a model from the LP series of Gibson Custom catalog. It comes with a solid, single cut body made of mahogany back and quilted maple top. Quilted maple used on this model has the top grade of five As and it`s equipped with creme binding, glossy finish and black plastic pickguard on Triburst color scheme. Firemist and Antique Natural don`t feature pickguards. On top, Gibson Custom installs a tune-o-matic bridge with stoptail bar in the back. They are both plated in chrome. Pickups are Gibson`s legendary '57 Classic humbuckers with split volume and tone knobs. Pickups switch is a three-way toggle. Mahogany neck on this model is equipped with set in joint, '60s contour and it`s topped with a 22-fret ebony fingerboard.
