B.B King is one of the greatest blues guitar players ever and is most certainly among the selected few, which can be considered as artists which defined the genre over the decades. His career spans over seven decades and for all that time he has been mostly associated with a Gibson ES 355. That guitar is better known as Lucille. B. B. King Lucille Gem Series Amethyst is a tribute to both Mr. King and Lucille. It comes with a solid double cut body made of mahogany. Tune-o-matic/stoptail bar combo is fronted with a pair of active humbuckers. 498T is in the bridge and 490R in the neck position. Controls unit features split volume and tone knobs. Three-piece maple neck has C contour in the back and 22-fret ebony fingerboard on top.
