B.B. King Lucille Series Sapphire is one of the Gem series models made for B.B. King. Gem series is a line of solid-bodied guitars with double cutaway and carved tops. This particular model features a body made of mahogany, which is combined with a neck, also made of mahogany. This forms a solid and strong base for the powerful tone. Body is equipped with Sapphire Blue paint, gloss finish, creme binding around both the top and back and raised pickguard on the top. Bridge section is equipped with a tune-o-matic bridge and stoptail bar in the back. 490R humbucker is in the neck and 498T in the bridge position. Mahogany neck is set and topped with a regular 22-fret fingerboard made of rosewood. Hardware is plated in gold on this one.
