The original "Minnesota Burst" is currently an unobtainable guitar as it rests in UK, owned by Andrew Raymond. But Gibson Custom does, however, offer a super small series of hand-made replicas of the legendary guitar.
Collector`s Choice #39 1959 Les Paul Minnesota Burst is one of a huge number of specific 1959 Les Paul Standard replicas. All of the specs and features, dents, bumps, characteristics and peculiarities of the original Minnesota model have been painstakingly reproduced on this hand-made axe. Level of detail is just amazing. Collector`s Choice #39 costs $10,499 and comes in one color option - the original one.
Under the hood of this new Minnesota Burst players can expect a one-piece mahogany body (hand-selected pieces, no weight relief), two-piece flamed maple top (hand-selected), one-piece mahogany neck (double-carved, `59 profile), one-piece solid Indian rosewood fingerboard, a Burst Bucker in neck and custom-wound Custom Bucker in bridge position, nickel-plated hardware, etc.
