Gibson Custom Heavy Aged SG Standard
SG Electric Guitars by Gibson Custom
SG Electric Guitars by Gibson Custom
The current Gibson Custom catalog consists solely of Limited Run models, with no regular or permanent lineup. Currently, Gibson Custom offers three SG models, two Standard and one Custom. This one, in particular, though a Standard, sports a lot higher price tag than the two Custom models ($5,499, compared to $2,999 and $3,499).
Heavy Aged SG Standard is the most expensive SG in current production, as well as the hardest one to obtain due to its utterly limited availability. Heavy Aged Pelham Blue (aged nitrocellulose finish, aged nickel hardware) is the only available color option.
The key features include a solid mahogany body (beveled top), solid mahogany neck (slim C profile), 22-fret solid rosewood fingerboard (1.687" nylon nut, 12" radius), ABR-1 bridge, AlNiCo III Custombucker pickups, and Kluson Deluxe tuners.
