Class 5 is the top class for the flame and quilt maple tops and they signify luxury and high price tags. Les Paul Class 5 quilt top comes with such a top, backed with a mahogany base. Mahogany used on this model is also top quality, and thus the tone of this LP is unrivaled. Top on this one is carved, bound in creme and finished in nitrocellulose gloss. There is no pickguard on this six-stringer. Wide color palette includes five color schemes. Bridge section on the top is equipped with a regular tune-o-matic/stoptail bar combo with chrome plating. Pickups are Burstbucker 2 in the neck and Burstbucker 3 in the bridge. Mahogany is also used for the neck and it is set-in. 22-fret fingerboard is made of rosewood.
