1959 Les Paul Standard is what one might call "The Holy Grail" of Les Paul. A highly popular and sought after, but never replicated guitar. Its legendary burst finishes, pickups, neck profile and tone remain the the subject of burning desire among Les Paul aficionados. Mike McCready 1959 Les Paul Vintage Gloss is one of three Limited Run models made for Pearl Jam`s main axeman. It costs $6,699 and is available in VOS nitrocellulose lacquer finish. Other two models are Mike McCready 1959 Les Paul Standard Aged ($8,299) and Mike McCready 1959 Les Paul Standard (11,499). The latter is the most expensive among the currently active Limited Run models. Main features of the Vintage Gloss variant are one-piece mahogany body (hand-selected, lightweight), two-piece maple top (creme binding), one-piece mahogany neck (1959 profile), one-piece Indian rosewood fingerboard, custom-wound Custom Bucker pickups (AlNiCo III) and nickel-plated hardware.
