Gibson`s SG Standard is a vintage-styled guitar with one of the strongest tones on the market. It`s fueled by the Burstbucker pickups, which give outrageous amount of sustain and super strong tone when combined with all-mahogany construction of the SG. SG`s body is thin, flat on the top, solid and made of mahogany. There is no carved top, like on LPs, there`s only a black pickguard. Ebony and Heritage Cherry options have tune-o-matic/stoptail bar bridge, TV Yellow and Classic White have tune-o-matic/maestro tailpiece combo. Aged nickel plating is applied on the hardware. Neck is made of mahogany and it features '60s slim taper contour. On it`s top Gibson Custom installs a 22-fret fingerboard made of rosewood.
