Brand new SG Standard for 2015 has been introduced by Gibson USA. This time around, SG Standard comes loaded with the most advanced features Gibson has to offer. Digital tuning machines, adjustable string nut and Les Paul hologram are just some of them. The body of the new SG Standard is made of medium density mahogany and has the classic devil horns double cutaway shape. Heritage Cherry, Translucent Ebony and Fireburst comprise the modest color palette of this super cool SG. Tune-o-matic bridge now comes with titanium saddles, instead of steel ones. In the front, Gibson installs a pair of 57 Classics with matching winding and an upgraded controls unit. Volume knobs are loaded with push-pull switches for coil splitting. Two volume knobs and a regular three-way toggle switch complete the controls unit. Set in mahogany neck is fit with a traditional slim taper contour in the back and a wide and thick rosewood fingerboard with 22 frets and a brass nut. Height of the 1.79" wide nut can be adjusted through two mounting screws. Gibson`s G Force tuners complete the specs list of the new and improved SG Standard. THe MSRP is set at $1,879.

Love it! I just got my hands on it and its the first time i have ever really messed with the new automated tunings systems and I dont know why I held out so long cus its amazing. I am a open tuning kinda guy maybe cus its easier... but thats a topic for a different day but back to the guitar the G-Force is a game changer im using tunings Id never even have tried before and making my own and saving them in its such a blast! As fas as the build its super solid as wed expect from Gibson so 10 out of 10 as far as I say.
Ive been able to try the GFORCE system and it is an AWESOME piece of technology! I have always had issues because I jump from tuning to tuning usually in the same day. so its always been a struggle between owning multiple guitars, my budget, changing tunings etc. The GFORCE has solved that problem in a cost effective way! I am able to have just 1 guitar that can do the job of 4-5! i would highly recommend that any guitarist give the system a try, its easy to use, easy to change strings, and even easier to change tunings.
