Gibson USA`s lineup for 2017 features only two Explorer models, one in the Traditional lineup and the other one in High Performance series. The Traditional one is also a bit more affordable and roughly corresponds with "Standard" tier, as it features similar specs to Firebird 2017 T, SG Standard 2017 T and Flying V 2017 T. The new Explorer 2017 T kicks off with a solid and flat mahogany body combined with a slim taper mahogany neck. 22-fret rosewood fingerboard (with 1.695" wide, self-lubricating tektoid nut) tops the neck and completes the chassis of this lean and mean rocking machine. The price`s set at $1,399. Major hardware and electronics features include a two-piece bridge unit (chrome plated), mighty 496R/T pickups (with classic Explorer controls) and mini Grover tuners.
