Firebird is one of the core models and pillars of Gibson USA catalog, being in continuous production since its introduction in the early 1960s. Both "reversed" and "non-reversed" body styles have been in use over the years, with "reverse" being far more popular.
2017 Firebird Zero belongs to the newly introduced S range and sports a variant of the non-reverse style. It is an utterly affordable guitar, coming in at $499 (comparable to Epiphone models). The body is made of poplar (C grade) and is paired with a slim taper maple neck (set-in joint). 22-fret rosewood fingerboard (dot inlays, 1.695" tektoid nut) tops the neck.
Main hardware and electronics features include a one-piece wrap-around bridge, DS-C pickups and die-cast mini tuners.
