Les Paul is, without a doubt, one of the most important electric guitars ever produced. It started out with Standard Goldtop (1952) and Custom (1954), diversifying over the years into a myriad models oriented towards a myriad of types of players. Les Paul Custom has recently been expelled from the USA catalog, leaving the throne to the Standard.
In 2017 Custom is back, but with a twist. It is back with two super affordable models, introduced as part of the 2017 S series. Les Paul Custom Special costs $699 and brings roughly the same specs list as Firebird Zero and SG Fusion. It starts off with a flat, single-cut body (made of mahogany), one-piece maple neck and 22-fret rosewood fingerboard.
Main hardware and electronics features include a wraparound bridge, DS-C pickups and mini tuners.
