Studio concept was introduced into the Gibson USA catalog as an effort to reach younger players and those who could not afford expensive Standards and Customs. It was popularized and made famous by several leading guitar players of the decade, most notably Slash of Guns `n` Roses. Today, Studio is the range for players who want ultimate performance with low-key appearance. This is the current incarnation of the studio, it comes with a solid single-cut body made of mahogany back and maple top. It`s carved on the top, finished in gloss and equipped with set in joint. Tune-o-matic bridge and stoptail bar are fronted by a pair of active Gibson humbuckers. Set in mahogany neck is equipped with the vintage-styled `50s contour in the back and topped with a 22-fretrosewood fingerboard.
