Les Paul Studio Satin brings all the tone and quality, but holds back on aesthetic embellishments which build the price. This model is an offspring of the Studio line, which started back in the `80s and immediately became a favorite with musicians who seek performance oriented guitars. To start off, this Studio Satin has a chambered mahogany body with a maple top. As all LPs, this one also features a carved top, but there is no binding. color palette on this model is wide and consists of Satin Fireburst, satin yellow, worn brown, worn cherry, blue stain and ebony stain. Upon the top a trademark Les Paul pickguard is kept. The bridge is made of a tune-o-matic and a stoptail bar, and they are both plated in chrome. The pickup combo consists of Gibson`s own BurstBucker Pro humbuckers. They are controlled through a standard layout of split volume and tone controls with a three-way toggle switch. The neck is made of mahogany and equipped with `50s LP shape and mortise & tenon joint. The baked maple fingerboard has 22 frets, figured acrylic trapezoid inlays and 12" radius. The corian string nut measures 1.695" in width with a scale of 24-3/4". The MSRP for Les Paul Studio Satin is set at $1,199 for all color options.
