Nancy Wilson is now back with the legends of the international hard rock scene, The Heart, and they`re ready to rip and tear all over again. Nancy has played the Nighthawk models for around twenty years and Gibson`s USA division has decided to include her into the signature artist family. For the summer of 2013, Gibson is preparing the Nancy Wilson Nighthawk Standard. This one is based on the regular Nighthawk Standard and costs $2,498 for the Fireburst color scheme, which is the only one assigned to this model. Nancy Wilson Nighthawk Standard comes with a solid and curvy single-cut body with a modern take on the classic Les Paul design. Since 1993, Nighthawks represent the alternative for players who like Gibson design, but are more comfortable with 25-1/2" scales and string-through construction. Body of this model is made of mahogany back and carved maple top. Flamed maple cap is bound in creme and equipped with only the necessary appointments. Standard Nighthawk series hardtail bridge is equipped with six adjustable saddles and it is plated in gold. Pickups in the front are also standard for the Nighthawk series. Slanted humbucker in the bridge position is fronted with a minibucker in the neck. Master volume, master tone and a five-position blade switch give countless possibilities for tone modeling. Set in mahogany neck features the comfortably rounded contour in the back and a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard on the top. Split parallelogram inlays, 12" radius and 1-11/16" corian nut complete the fingerboard specs. Classic Gibson tuners with gold plating are featured on the headstock. They`re installed in the standard 3+3 pattern.
