All major models in Gibson USA catalog have their Robot variants. These models are based on standard series models and only alter the regular specs list in the tuning machines section. Instead of Grover, Gotoh, or some other tuners, Gibson installs a set of their own Robot tuners. These come with special controls and built in software with a list of tunings. With a press of a button, these tuners automatically tune the guitar to desired tuning. Other than that, all these models are regular standard variants. Thus, the Robot Flying V Ltd comes with a solid and flat V body made of mahogany. It is topped with a tune-o-matic/stoptail bridge section and 496R/500T pickups. Set mahogany neck is topped with a 22-fret ebony fingerboard.
