Les Paul Studio was introduced into the Gibson catalog back in the 1980s and it`s in production ever since. numerous variants based on the Studio have been introduced, but this one takes the Studio into the 21st century. It has robotic tuning machines, instead of the standard ones. These can tune the guitar automatically. All the player needs to do is to turn the knob, select the desired tuning and press the button. Tuners will take care of the rest. Other than that, this model is the regular Les Paul Stdio. Solid, single-cut body is made of mahogany back and plain maple top. 498T humbucker is placed in the bridge position and 490R in the neck. Set in neck is made of mahogany. It`s topped with a 22-fret ebony fingerboard.

Excellent sounding guitar. It's easy to use and light. The tuning system is easy and it plays like a dream. It plays better than most studios I have played in the past. Maybe it's the ebony or the chambered boy but it has a very crisp and woodie sound. Excellent for the money. At first I kept hearing it was gonna break and just bad things but it's been a year and I have had no problems yet. Love it.
