Gibson USA`s lineup for 2017 is made up of two main branches, the vintage-oriented "T" (stands for Traditional) and modern "HP" (stands for High Performance). There`s also Epiphone-level S series. HP range features three SG models, with this one being the most expensive one. SG Standard 2017 HP costs $1,699 and brings the finest features HP lineup has to offer. It starts off with a solid and beveled mahogany body (all-solid, small pickguard on top, gloss finish), mahogany neck (one-piece construction, Soloist width, fast access heel) and rosewood fingerboard (24-3/4" scale, 1.745" zero fret nut, trapezoid inlays, creme binding). Cherry burst, Ebony and Heritage Cherry comprise the palette. 57 Classic/Classic + pickups, TOM bridge (w/titanium saddles), modern knurled control knobs and omnipresent (in HP section) G-Force tuners complete this year`s most expensive SG.
