Legacy Spalted Maple is a model from the Special Build series from G&L Guitars catalog. This series deals with special models based on regular Strat and Telecaster-like models from the regular sections of the catalog. This Legacy comes with a classic Stratocaster body, featuring bolt-on neck joint, flat top and classic double cutaway. Swamp ash back is topped with a spalted maple top. Natural color with gloss lacquer finish and chrome hardware is the only color scheme available. Bridge section is equipped with a standard G&L tremolo bridge. It is a non-locking bridge with string-through-body construction. G&L Alnico V pickups are installed in the front. Neck on this model is made of maple and it`s topped with a 22-fret ebony fingerboard.

The finest work to come out of the G&L Custom Creations group. I have had several Legends, but this is THE keeper. A little brighter and a few ounces heavier, but the unique looks and stage presence of the spalted maple top draws a crowd and well worth the cost. Great construction, beauty, and tone.
