G5620T-CB Electromatic is one of three novelties introduced into the famous Electromatic Collection range for summer 2014. Also, this is one of six models Gretsch has launched within the 130th Anniversary series. All six models feature center block construction, which sets them apart from their Electromatic and Professional Collection brethren. G5620T-CB Electromatic is a very interesting guitar. it`s semi-hollow and single-cut body is made of maple and spruce. Arched back, arched top and the sides are made of five-ply laminated maple, while the center block is made of spruce (the standard tonewood selection and construction for the 130th Anniversary line). Center block runs the entire length of the body and gives players even more freedom and options in finding their own authentic Gretsch voice, for it boosts sustain, lessens the feedback and improves the tone projection. Anchored Adjust-o-matic bridge in the front, licensed Bigsby vibrato bar in the back and a trapezoid tailpiece with Gretsch logo on it comprise the bridge unit of G5620T-CB. Blacktop Fintertron is in the bridge, while the Dual-Coil HiLo`Tron pickup is is in the neck position.Maple neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard and vintage headstock with die-cast Grover tuners wraps the specs list. Black, red and green versions of this gorgeous single-cut cost $1,199.
