Professional Series in Gretsch Guitars is a line of signature and tribute guitars made for various players, mostly rockabilly and jazz guitarists. Mostly, models in this series are hollow-bodied and feature the iconic Gretsch design. One of the players with most models in this series is Chet Atkins, country music legend. G6121 - 1959 Chet Atkins Solid Body is one of very few solid electric guitars in Professional series. It comes with a single-cut body made of mahogany back and plain maple top. Top is bound in creme and finished in urethane gloss. Classic three-piece bridge section is featured on this model, as well. In it`s front, Gretsch installs pair of Filtertron humbuckers. Set in neck is made of mahogany. It features C contour in the back and 22-fret ebony fingerboard on top.
