Artist Award is one of three electric guitars introduced into the American Patriarch series made by Guild Guitars. This series is, in turn, a part of the newly established Guild Custom Shop division. It is currently the only electric guitar series with three proud representatives. These guitars are the finest examples of what the luthiers of this brand are capable of, when it comes to electric guitars. Artist Award is a gorgeous hollow-bodied guitar with single-cut design and set neck construction. It comes with a luxurios combination of top shelf woods and elegant hardware appointments. Body of this six-stringer is made of flamed maple back and sides with laminated spruce sound board. Back panel is made of solid wood, while the sides are laminated. White binding, bound "f" holes and raised pickguard decorate the top. Antique Burst is the signature color scheme for the new electric guitar department and it suits Artist Award model perfectly. Bridge is made of ebony and it`s backed up with an elegant trapezoid tailpiece. There`s only one floating Guild pickup installed in the neck position. Maple and walnut neck is made of five laminates and equipped with U contour in the back. 20 vintage-styled frets on the ebony fingerboard are marked with abalone block inlays.
