Hamer`s Newport series was introduced back in 1999 and it follows the vintage Gibson school of design, reminding a lot of the famous ES semi-hollows. Hamer`s distinct styling, different set of tonewoods and Seymour Duncan pickups have made this series one of the most recognizable and esteemed lines of semi-hollow six-stringers on the market. Standard tonewood combination consists of mahogany back and carved spruce top, which is the case with Newport 12. This is the only 12-stringer in the series and it largely shares the specs with the basic Newport model. Two-piece hardtail bridge is fronted by two Seymour Duncan Phat Cat single coil pickups. These cool cats give a cool vibe to this vintage 12-string. Neck is made of mahogany and it features the 22-fret rosewood fingerboard on the top.
