Hofner is a manufacturer with a very long tradition. For over 100 years they have been in business and are still among the most important brands from Europe. Their newly introduced top tier is named Gold Label series and it deals with only the most luxurious and prestigious guitars and basses available from this brand. All of the models in this line are limited in numbers, which only adds to exclusivity. Also, each player can customize his or her Gold Label series instrument. One of the models introduced for NAMM 2013 is also the President guitar with vibrato bridge. Body of this model is a regular one for President family, it is fully hollow and single cut. Back and sides are made of birdseye maple, while the top is made of solid spruce. Several layers of binding decorate the body and a black plastic pickguard is featured on the top. Bridge section features a fixed bridge in the front, with vibrato bar in the back.Hofner Diamond series mini humbuckers are installed in the front. Flamed maple neck is equipped with a set-in neck joint and a standard President contour in the back. It is topped with a 22-fret ebony fingerboard.
