Contemporary Archtop is the latest development in Ibanez`s Hollow Body range. It is a series dedicated to the modern players and their needs and preferences. Three models, including this one, were introduced at 2017 NAMM as the series` first lineup. AFC125 is the most affordable of the three and features almost the same specs list as the AFC155 model. 125 is available only in Black Flat (with satin finish, creme binding and gold hardware). The body made of maple (back, sides) and spruce (top), (3-piece) mahogany/maple neck (with AFC profile) and 20-fret ebony fingerboard (with medium frets, 1.69" string nut and 12" radius) comprise the chassis of this modern/vintage archtop. Major hardware and electronics appointments include an ebony bridge (with VT14 tailpiece), Magic Touch minibuckers and modern black/gold-clad tuning machines.
