GB40th is an exclusive signature model made for George Benson. It is made in Japan, along with the rest of the Prestige class guitars and basses. Natural (with glossy finish, abalone binding and gold hardware) is the only member of this model`s color palette. GB40th comes in with a fully hollow, single-cut body, glued-in neck and 22-fret fingerboard. The body is made up of flamed maple back, sides and top. A pickguard also made of flamed maple, tops the arched soundboard. Mahogany neck sports the classic GB profile in the back and a bound ebony fingerboard (with medium frets, custom 40th anniversary inlays, 1.69" bone/brass nut) on top. Major hardware & electronics appointments include a vintage-styled ebony bridge (with ornate tailpiece), GB Special minibucker pickups and vintage-styled Gotoh tuners.
