Mikro series is an attempt by Ibanez to conquer the down-sized guitars market. Several models constitute the series lineup and several more (three) are being added for 2014. One of these new models is GRGM21M-MPL model. It is a shortened electric guitar with solid body, 22-1/5" scale and classic Ibanez styling. Due to the shortened scale, body of the GRGM21M-MPL is also smaller. This adjustment was made for the sake of body/neck balance and aesthetic reasons, as well. Body of this Mikro six-stringer is made of poplar and it`s paired with a standard maple neck. On the top, there is the classic hardtail bridge with six adjustable saddles and chrome plating. Strings run through the neck and through the body of this guitar. In the front, a pair of Ibanez PSND humbuckers is installed. Master volume, master tone and a blade switch complete the controls unit. Maple neck is bolted to the body and is topped with a series standard 24-fret fingerboard made of maple.
