JEM505 comes from the JEM signature series of electric guitars Ibanez makes for Steve Vai. It comes with a solid, double cut body, set neck, double locking trem and 24-fret fingerboard. Pickups are made by Ibanez and belong to the Vintage series. Humbuckers are installed in the bridge and neck, while the middle pickup is a single coil. JEM505 has a basic controls unit and a five-position blade switch. Bridge is a double-locking one, it is a part of the Edge series. Both black and White color schemes feature cosmo black plating on the bridge and gloss finish over the body. Body is made of basswood, it`s solid, double-cut and flat on the top. It`s paired with a set maple neck with 24-fret fingerboard on top.
