PM2 is one of two updates for the Pat Metheny signature series introduced by Ibanez at the 2013 NAMM show. It comes with a standard single-cut body made of maple back, sides adn top. Top side is bound in multi-ply binding and carved with a pair of "f" holes. Entire body is finished in gloss and the only color scheme Ibanez has assigned for this model is natural. Body of this guitar is completely hollow and has no tone blocks within. Bridge section features a tune-o-matic style of bridge with wooden base in the front and a trapezoid tailpiece in the back. Bridge section is plated in gold, as is the rest of the hardware on this model. PM2 has only one pickup, it is an active humbucker placed in the neck position. Controls include master volume and master tone knobs. Neck on this model is made of mahogany and it features contour standard for Pat Metheny`s models. On it`s top Ibanez installs a 22-fret ebony fingerboard with white binding.
