RG350DXZ represents an evolution of the classic RG350DX, the model which became synonymous with the RG series. DXZ retains the visual connection with its predecessor, including the paint job, hardware color, bound fingerboard with sharktooth inlays and headstock cover design. But, under the hood, much has changed. RG350DXZ kicks off with a solid and flat body made of mahogany (350DX had a basswood body). It is paired with a Wizard III maple neck (no changes there). The two are connected through a recessed bolt-on joint. 24-fret fingerboard also remains the same as on the ol` DX. The new 350 rocks Quantum pickups in the same arrangement 350DX featured Infinity pickups - HSH. Three-piece controls unit is still there. Second generation Edge bridge now sits behind the pickups, offering players even more bang for their buck. Three-piece locking bridge and die-cast tuners complete this budget-friendly shred machine.
