Rosewood is the predominant tone wood used for fingerboards throughout the RG range, including the Premium and Prestige tiers. But, Ibanez luthiers and designers are aware that not every guitar player prefers rosewood under the fingers, so they made a certain number of guitars with maple boards. This is one of them, it`s named RG450MDX and it brings a solid, double cut body made of basswood. It is a predominant body tone wood for the RG series. Black pickguard is featured on top of the glossy black body. Bridge is an Edge tremolo made by Ibanez. It is a double locking trem, paired with a locking nut on the fingerboard. H/S/H configuration of pickups is featured on this model. Three-piece maple neck is bolted to the body and topped with a 24-fret maple fingerboard.
