RG Standard is the basic and the most popular RG series in the entire Ibanez catalog. Premium, Prestige and Iron Label segments complete the RG range, but it is the Standard segment which is the backbone of the entire RG section.
RG421RW comes in with a modern RG body made of mahogany base and rosewood top, same as the RG420RW. The neck used on this model is the standard one, used across the RG Standard roster; it is a Wizard III maple neck with four-bolt joint in the back and a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard on top. Jumbo-sized frets, dot inlays, 15.75" radius and 1.69" nut complete the fingerboard. Two Quantum humbuckers offer the classic RG tone and have a standard controls unit. Fixed string-through bridge and die-cast tuners complete the specs list.
