RGD series is RG`s badder and meaner cousin, the one with a longer scale (26-1/2" instead of 25-1/2") and lower tuning (one whole step lower than RG standard), the one inexperienced players are reluctant to mess around. RGD3127 is the new Prestige class seven-stringed RGD. It offers the beveled double-cut body, bolt-on neck joint, 26-1/2" scale neck, ferocious DiMarzio pickups (w/super simple controls), minimalist styling, and Ibanez`s top-shelf hardware. It is available exclusively in Pearl White Flat (chrome hardware, black/white plastics). Core construction features include a basswood body, 5-piece maple/wenge RGD neck, and 24-fret birdseye maple fingerboard. Other important features include DiMarzio Fusion Edge pickups, Lo-Pro Edge tremolo bridge, and die-cast tuners.
