RGD421 is a model from the RGD Series. The line is dedicated to metal guitarists which want to make no compromise when it comes to the power and clarity in the low register of the fingerboard. The RGD421 is a double cutaway model with a body made of basswood. It features a carved top and is available in black flat, which is Ibanez`s name for black satin color scheme. There are no pickguards or binding on this model. The bridge is a Gibraltar Standard six string hardtail bridge. It is clad in cosmo black paint. The pickups on RGD421 are two humbuckers placed in the bridge and neck positions. Controls department is made up of only master volume knob and a three way toggle switch. The neck on this model is made of three pieces of maple and features Wizard III contour and bolt-on joint. The rosewood fingerboard is equipped with 24 jumbo sized frets and black pearl dot inlays. This model will be featured at NAMM 2012 Show. The MSRP is set at $537.
