The concept of a multi-scaled guitar is by no means a new thing but it is only recently after the progressive metal players have embraced it, that the mainstream guitar industry warmed up to the idea of the compound-scaled axe. Ibanez is one of the very few major brands which offers high-quality/low price multiscale models, as other big contenders still sit on the fence. RGMS7 is one of two RG Standard`s multiscale models for 2018 (introduced at NAMM with the rest of the catalog). It offers a solid and flat RG body (mahogany construction), a 5-piece maple/walnut neck (Wizard III profile, bolt-on joint), a 24-fret jatoba fingerboard (25.5"-27" scale, offset dots, 1.89" nut), a Monorail bridge, passive Array-7 humbucking pickups, and die-cast tuners.
