S Prestige Electric Guitars by Ibanez
S6UC is a part of the S Prestige series and a newly formed Upper Cut range. Currently, there are four Upper Cut models, distributed across four series - S, RGD, ARZ and FR. All four are made for players who like to down-tune their guitars, but lack a pro-level option.
S6UC is available only as S6UCDM (DM stands for Dark Mocha, the only color option), a solid-bodied and double-cut guitar with a long 28-3/5" scale and bolt-on construction. The body of this prestigious baritone is made of mahogany back and carved imbuia top. The neck is made of five pieces of maple and walnut and rocks the Super Wizard profile. Ebony fingerboard on its top has jumbo frets, 1.69" locking nut and 16.90" radius. Like the rest of its Upper Cut brethren, S6UC has no fingerboard inlays.
Hand-made Bare Knuckle Nailbomb humbuckers give an unprecedented level of clarity and power in the lowest registry, as well as rich mid range and warm highs. Gold-plated Edge trem system and tuners complete the specs list. Like all the Ibanez Prestige models, FR6UC is a pretty exclusive instrument, it comes in at $2,499.
