SZR series in Ibanez catalog deals with solid, double-cut guitars with fixed bridges and 22-fret fingerboards. SZR520 is currently the basic model of the series and it comes with a solid body made of mahogany back and flamed maple top. Beautiful creme binding and elegant carve are featured on the top. Ibanez assigned a total of six color options to this model and all of them come with high gloss finish. Bridge section is a simple one, it features tune-o-matic bridge with strings running through the body behind it. There`s no stoptail bar. Pickups on this model come in H/H configuration and are accompanied by the series standard controls unit. Neck is made of a single piece of mahogany and it`s topped with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard.
