JS series deals with the beginner class of electric guitars and basses. Its mission is to attract as many novice players as possible to Jackson catalog and keep them. There are three main tiers, with JS32 being the top one. 22 and 12 are ranked bellow it. Among the JS models introduced for 2016, one Kelly stands out, the JS Series Kelly JS32. It is a guitar far above its price class ($408.15). Solid and flat body with a bolt-on neck, 25-1/2" scale, passive electronics and Jackson hardware are among the core features. Flat-top poplar body and bolted maple neck with rosewood fingerboard make up the chassis of this workhorse Kelly. The neck is equipped with the standard speed profile in the back and a 24-fret fingerboard on top. The fingerboard is bound around the edges and has the standard set of features (1.6875" plastic nut, Sharkfin inlays and compound 12"-16" radius). Jackson`s own High Output humbuckers are passive, but posses a surprising level of power. They`re fat, mighty-sounding and possess a simple controls unit ( master volume, master tone, toggle switch). Licensed Floyd Rose bridge and die-cast Jackson-branded tuners complete the specs list.
