Monarkh is a brand new platform, previously unseen in Jackson ranks. It is based on the classic LP, but with Jackson`s own styling and character. Several models have been included into the initial Monarkh run and JS Series Monarkh SC JS22 is one of them. It belongs to the affordable JS range and boasts a super-affordable retail price of only $277.76. Short 24-3/4" scale, bolt-on neck/body construction, black-clad hardware and passive electronics are among its core features. JS22 Monarkh can be obtained in four different color options: Satin Black, Snow White, Transparent Black Burst and Transparent Red Burst.
JS Series Monarkh SC JS 22 rocks a solid chassis made of a multi-part poplar body with beveled edges and a one-piece maple neck with speed profile. The neck is topped with a regular 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with white binding around the edges, dot inlays, 1.625" plastic nut and compound 12"-16" radius.
Electronics and hardware are all Jackson on this beginner Monarkh. Set of two Jackson High Output humbuckers (passive, of course) with a basic controls set (volume, tone, 3-way toggle switch) comprises the electronics unit, yielding a strong, thick tone with meaty low end. Two-piece hardtail bridge (tune-o-matic/stoptail bar) and Jackson`s own die-cast tuners complete the specs list.

I have been playing for over 20 years, mainly in holiday parks in function bands and I wanted a single cut with a slim easy to play neck. This guitar is the easiest neck I have played. You can easily play what is in your head and there is no fight in the play ability. The body is still very light for a single cut and yet feels solid. The clean sound has a bright but not brittle sound. A much fuller sound than most metal style guitars which is what I was after as I play lots of different styles during a set from country, rock, soul, pop, jazz and 50's. Using the neck pick up it sounds worm and works really well for jazz chords. When played through my tube screamer this guitar shines. Its clear and defined without sounding thin and the extra weight in the single cut body actually got me close to a Gary Moore sound. Played live this guitar shined through on a lengthy end of the night widdle fest. The solo went n for about 5 minutes and I felt no fatigue and the sound cut though. I was very surprised when dialing in a warm blues drive as this guitar seemed really at home. Sound wise it was very close to B.B.Kings sound with warm articulate notes. There was one flaw that I found while gigging with this guitar and that was the tuning stability. It may be due to such a thin neck or the choice of budget tuners but It rarely stayed perfectly in tune. Not enough to stand out but If this was my only guitar I would probably replace the tuners. All in all though this is an amazingly versatile guitar and the price is an absolute steal. I found no flaws in the finish and the guitar felt solid and reliable. The tuning issue wasn't too much of a problem its just I like my tuning as exact as possible as I do a lot of recording. But this isn't really a session players guitar and is more a reliable stage instrument with a variety of sounds that is extremely playable.
