King V is an old and proud line of the finest V-shaped battle axes. Its roots date back to the 1980s, to the age when the heavy, thrash, speed and death metal reigned supremely. Today`s King V line, as the offspring of the `80s KV, is trusted with a task of guarding the heavy metal flame and keeping it alive in the 21st century. For 2015, in particular, Jackson has decided to unveil two models in the lower regions of the market and the razor sharp King V KVXT is one of them. This lower intermediate class marvel comes with a solid, V-contoured basswood/maple body. Basswood is on the sides, with maple neck comprising the center section. Flamed maple veneer is found on top. Simple and efficient bridge section includes a lone tune-o-matic bridge with strings running through the body behind it. EMG`s passive HZ H-4 pickups bring enough horse power to give even the high-end guitars a good run for their money. These two thunder crackers are controlled through a master volume, master tone and a three-way toggle pickup switch. Fast and sleek maple neck is topped with a standard 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with shark fin inlays and compound radius (12"-16", which has become the catalog-wide standard). Jackson`s own die-cast tuners sit on the classic pointed headstock, wrapping this quick overview.
