Jackson`s 2015 catalog is getting a heavy dose of Dinky models, with a total number of sixteen novelties in this range. Pro Dinky DK2 HT is one of them. It is a modest looking metal machine with supreme versatility, and playability worthy of a custom shop guitar. DK2 HT comes with a solid and double-cut body made entirely of alder, and a through-body maple neck. This base is a quite common one for Jackson`s Dinky models in recent years, as it offers a strong, aggressive and fairly bright tone. Also, it brings a fantastic sustain and well defined, clear tone. Being a pro series instrument, this six-string Dinky features only the best hardware, electronics and construction appointments. Pickups department is equipped with a pair of classic Seymour Duncan metal machines - JB is in the bridge, while the `59 occupies the neck position. Master volume, master tone and a five-position blade switch make up the simple and easy to use controls unit. Behind the pickups, Jackson installs the six-saddled Hipshot hardtail bridge (painted in black, of course). 24-fret maple fingerboard which tops the neck, features jumbo-sized frets, black dot inlays, compound radius (12"-16") and rolled edges. Thus far, the only color option available for this model is Metallic Black.
